The First Appointment

Often during the first appointment, your dentist will gently buff your teeth to removing less than 1 mm of enamel in preparation for your new veneers. Tooth reduction will allow the veneers to lie flat and in line with surrounding teeth. Depending on how the teeth present and the desired result sometimes veneers can be placed with no tooth reduction.
Your dentist will take an impression of your mouth and a lab specializing in cosmetic restorations will fabricate your life-like veneers. Temporary veneers that look great will be placed on your teeth while your new smile is being designed.
Behind the Scenes
After your first appointment, your dentist will order your veneers from a dental lab. A talented ceramist will handcraft the porcelain veneers from durable materials that look and function like natural dentition. The information your dentists provides the lab will ensure that you receive veneers that will create a smile that complements your appearance.
Veneer Placement
Your dentist will remove the temporary veneers and meticulously check the fit of the porcelain veneers. Once everyone is satisfied and not until everyone is satisfied will they be luted to the teeth.
