Fillings

White fillings harden immediately and can be eaten on right away. Silver fillings need to harden for one hour before eating on them.

Hot, cold and bite sensitivity is normal and is usually temporary. The sensitivity could last for up to six months and should be showing gradual signs of lessening. If the sensitivity is extreme, not improving or doesn't go awayk let the office know. This is not very common and a quick procedure can reverse the symptoms.

If, when you close your mouth, the filling touches before your natural teeth, the filling may be high. A quick and simple adjustment will fix the bite. Please call the office.
