What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
Your safety is priority at our office. The rooms are thoroughly disinfected between patients, and all of our instruments are heat sterilized. When possible, we use disposable products. Our entire team is familiar with and adheres to guidelines set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and receive continuous updates from the American Dental Association.
My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?
Bleeding gums can be a sign of gum disease, which has been linked to diabetic complications, cardiac conditions, low birth weight, and other health problems. Gum disease is also the leading cause of tooth loss for American adults. Every patient should have a periodontal health evaluation at least twice a year. During your periodontal exam, our hygienist and doctors will measure your gums, check the condition of your jawbone, and search for signs of gum disease. We'll let you know if problems exist, help resolve the problems, and show you how to effectively prevent disease. A high-tech, easy-to-follow computer graphic demonstration will help you understand our suggestions.

I really do not like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?
Anxiety over dental care is not at all uncommon. Bad experiences, fear of the unknown, and preconceived concerns can make a person feel stressed and scared. We want to know about your concerns so that we can help you overcome them. It is not uncommon to hear our patients comment on how our team exceeded their expectations and created a dental experience that made them feel completely comfortable and confident. For patients who require medication to calm intense anxiety, we can prescribe a sedative to take before treatment. We want to help change your mind about dentistry. Call today, and tell us about your concerns.
